The Captains compete in 23 NCAA sports, including football and cheerleading. Our university ranks fifth nationally in NCAA Division III team championships, and we've produced more than 500 All Americans.

Captains Football Starts Strong
In 2001, CNU's football team became the first team in NCAA history to win a conference title and advance to the NCAA playoffs in their first year of play - and have finished the regular season no lower than third place in their conference since.

Lady Captains Softball
CNU women's softball has grown into one of the nation’s elite Division III programs. In 2011, the Captains were USA South Athletic Conference champions for the third straight year, and made it all the way to the NCAA national championship game. The team also fielded three All-Americans in 2011.

Intramural and Club Sports
Along with watching our varsity teams, students can also enjoy athletics at CNU by joining an intramural or club team. Every semester students of all skill levels compete in men's, women's and coed intramural leagues in a variety of sports, including basketball, soccer and volleyball. Club teams travel and compete against other colleges and universities.
