Equipped to Succeed

The key to success in any endeavor is preparation, and Christopher Newport provides all the resources you need, from the right equipment to sound advice.

Academic Computing
Computer technology evolves quickly, and CNU keeps pace. We have more than 500 computer workstations, T-1 Internet access in residence halls and campus-wide Wi-Fi. We were one of the first universities to fully integrate Google Apps for email, document sharing and other services.

We also have high-tech labs for computer science, engineering and applied physics students. Off campus, science classes take advantage of advanced technology labs at nearby Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility.

Center for Career Planning
College is just the first step on your journey toward a rewarding career, and CNU is here to help prepare you for the next leg of the adventure. At the Center for Career Planning, we’ll help you choose a career path, complete an internship, make connections with successful CNU alumni in your area of interest, write a compelling résumé, meet with employers and much more.
