You may have read or heard about the multitude of technical difficulties students, high school counselors and college admission offices are experiencing as a result of Common Application's implementation of their latest CA4 version this year. More importantly, you may have experienced challenges in navigating the application yourself.
I am writing to apologize on behalf of Christopher Newport University if you have had difficulty submitting your application for admission to CNU, and to provide assurance that we will work with each individual student every step of the way throughout the application and enrollment process. I urge you to begin the application process online as early as possible to allow time for any possible technology delays.
CNU’s Early Decision application deadline of November 15 is fast approaching, as is the December 1 Early Action application deadline. If you or your school counselor need extra time to upload documents through the Common Application, please contact the admission officer assigned to your region directly as soon as possible to request an extension. We want to be sure you are given every possible consideration for admission and scholarship review.
Many students have been able to fully submit their applications and credentials for review. We are beginning to review what initially appears to be a great pool of Early Decision applicants. We hope you will be among those selected to be the next generation of Captains!
Please visit our Contact Us Page for the direct email address or phone number of the admission officer who will be reviewing your application file, and contact us with any questions or concerns.
