Freshman Admission

Campus Tours

The university is currently closed to the public as a precautionary measure to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

Daily information sessions and campus tours are canceled until further notice. Both the Admitted Freshman Day events scheduled for April 4 and April 18 are canceled. Since you can't visit campus, join us online for live chats and webcasts, individual enrollment consultation, a virtual tour, videos, and more on our Virtual Visit page.

Webcasts are a great opportunity for prospective students and parents to learn more about the university, academics, campus community and the application process. We encourage you to view these archived webcasts of our information session and an overview of the application process.

Please refer to for alterations to campus activities in response to COVID-19 and/or other considerations before traveling to Newport News.
