The Master of Science in Applied Physics and Computer Science (APCS) is built around a core of physics and computer science courses that are the foundation of the three areas of concentration: computer science, computer systems engineering and instrumentation, and applied physics. The Master of Science in Environmental Science (ENVS) has been designed to provide the knowledge and technical skills required to develop a solid background in ecological and environmental conservation theory. The program is flexible enough to fit the interests and needs of a wide variety of students and is designed for students planning to pursue a Ph.D., teachers wanting a M.S. in a biological science, or students interested in careers with environmental agencies. Students who enter CNU and wish to become teachers may apply to the Bachelor's to Master's 5 Year Program in Teaching. Students major in a content area, such as English or biology, and receive a bachelor's degree in liberal arts or science at the end of four years of study. The fifth year includes professional courses at the graduate level, and a semester of student teaching. Upon completion of the program, a student earns a Master's of Arts in Teaching.

To apply for the Bachelor's to Master's 5 Year Program in Teaching, please submit the following to Graduate Admissions at CNU by February 1st of your junior year at CNU (A minimum of 65 undergraduate credits must have been earned):

Students who already have a bachelor's degree may enroll in a 36-hour Traditional Master's plus Licensure program or an Initial Licensure program.

Graduate Admissions Requirements for International Students

  • First, check the application dates and deadlines.
  • Submit the Graduate Application for International Students.
  • Submit the required non-refundable $50 application fee with form.
  • Submit official, translated academic transcripts from all secondary schools, colleges, and universities you’ve attended to World Education Services (WES) for a course-by-course review.  Please have WES send their evaluation to:

  • Submit scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) to Graduate Admissions. (To be considered for admission, you must submit a minimum score of 92 for the Internet-based TOEFL, or an equivalent score of 237 on the computer-based TOEFL or an equivalent score of 580 on the paper-based TOEFL.
  • Submit all documents required for degree-seeking admission to the specific master’s degree program you desire.  Refer to the specific program requirements in the Graduate Catalog.
  • Complete a Financial Resources Statement. If you are not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident please submit our Financial Resources Statement. In addition, please attach any official bank statements or affidavits to show that you can afford to study in the United States.
  • The International Student Data Collection Form, which provides details about your visa, passport, and I-94.
