Grade Appeals
The purpose of the grade appeal policy
is to ensure students and instructional faculty members are afforded due
process and fair treatment when a student wishes to appeal a final course
grade. This process is clearly articulated in the University Handbook (see page 45). Appealing a grade is a formal process; attention to all deadlines and each step of the process is critical. In
addition to reading the University Handbook, scheduling a meeting with the
appropriate academic dean or department chair can be helpful. Link to the required form if you choose to appeal (challenge) a
final grade in a course.
