Major General (US Army Retired) Jeanette (Jan) K. Edmunds
Major General (US Army Retired) Jeanette (Jan) K. Edmunds spent 32 years inside the Department of Defense executing military aspects of America’s National Security Policy. Upon retiring she became Senior Vice President for Logistics in a Defense Aerospace consulting firm in Alexandria, Virginia. In 2013 she retired from the consulting firm and established “Upper Right Business Strategies, LLC.” to carry on as an independent consultant. She is a member of the Board of Directors for BRTRC, a privately held company that provides professional services to Federal Government agencies. She is a former member of the President’s Advisory Board for the South Carolina Research Authority’s Advanced Technology Institute and an Advisory Board Member for SCRA’s Institute for Solutions Generation. Her charitable activities, in addition to being on the Board of Advisors for the Center for American Studies, include being a member of the advisory board for the Army Women’s Foundation and an advisory committee member for the Women in Military Service for America Memorial Foundation.
She holds a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and Masters of Business Administration in Logistics Management from Florida Institute of Technology. She is a graduate of the Program Manager’s Course, Defense Acquisition University and the Army War College.
Her professional affiliations include the National Association of Corporate Directors, the Association of the United States Army, the National Defense Industrial Association, Women in Defense and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
