Co-Hosted by:
The Greater Hampton Roads Chapter of the National Defense Industrial Association and Christopher Newport University’s Center for American Studies

The primary focus of this conference will be on how the ongoing changes in the way our Government buys equipment and services impacts the several military commands in Hampton Roads and the corporate organizations that support them.  We will have senior level speakers from DOD, Joint Staff, Air Staff, Air Combat Command and Fleet Forces Command as well as multiple local business executives to address these issues from their individual perspectives.

Conference will be a one day, multi-tiered program designed to:
• Gain a better understanding of the developing plans, priorities and investment concepts of the DOD and Services in building their future force capabilities.
• Explore the operational impacts of new acquisition rules and procedures on government contract awards, long term management and current opportunities on the Regional Defense Industrial Base.
• Address the differences in how the purchase of military hardware and equipment and the purchase of services and capabilities are managed.
