We Need Your Support!
To achieve the mission of providing intensive programming in American civics and national security, the Center needs a steady stream of financial resources. The annual operating budget to support core programming requires $90,000 annual base funding and a $1.8 million endowment to sustain financial stability.

Our Priorities

Post Doctoral Fellows
Post Doctoral Fellows are crucial to the Center's success, through teaching and conducting research in the field. The Center must set aside $50,000 a year per post doctoral fellow.

Conferences, Speakers, and Events
CAS dedicates $50,000 per year toward innovative programming. The Center holds three annual conferences, as well as many speakers throughout the year. These conferences allow students to gain higher knowledge and understanding in the field, and aid students in networking and internship placement.

Summer Teacher Recertification Workshop
This workshop helps Hampton Roads middle and high school teachers develop new ways to incorporate proper understanding of America’s founding principles, history, and capitalist system into their curricula. The Center is working to raise $15,000 annually for three years (totaling $45,000) to support this program.

Junior Fellow
Junior Fellowships provide students with an internship internal to the Center. Junior Fellows undertake original research in conjunction with a CAS faculty member, present research at academic conferences, and provide assistance on Center programming. The Center is working to raise $20,000 annually to support this program.
