Keith McLoughland Great Books
Series
As an institution, the official "Great
Books" program was inspired by Encyclopedia
Britannica's set of volumes; Keith
McLoughland of CNU established a discussion group in the spirit of
that program, and we carry on that institution in his
honor.
The Great Books series offers scholars
the opportunity to discuss literature from our cultural legacy. We
will explore it's meaning and relevance to our world, making the best
use of our critical skills. The editors of the original series have
expressed their policy on the program as a "Shared Inquiry Method of Learning" by which we engage one another in the pursuit of
truth.
