Keith McLoughland Great BooksSeries

As an institution, the official "GreatBooks" program was inspired by EncylopediaBritannica's set of volumes of the samename; Keith McLoughland of CNU established a discussion group here inthe spirit of that program, and we carry on that institution in hishonor.

The Great Books Series offersinterested scholars the opportunity to discuss important literaturefrom our cultural legacy. Effort will be put to exploring it'smeaning and relevance to our current world, making the best possibleuse of our critical thinking skills. The editors of the Britannicaseries have expressed their policy on the program as the"Shared Inquiry Method of Learning" by which we engage one another in the pursuit oftruth.
