Join us for an exciting day of golf at one of Virginia’s most picturesque courses, James River Country Club. In addition to helping fund scholarships through the Christopher Newport Alumni Society, you will also support Fear2Freedom, a nonprofit organization that empowers communities to prevent and eradicate sexual abuse.

Each golfer will receive a welcome packet and an opportunity to bid on great raffle prizes. A celebration dinner and awards ceremony will follow the tournament. For additional details and sponsorship opportunities, visit homecoming.cnu.edu/golf.

For the first time in history we have a place for alumni to call home. Alumni, family, and friends are invited to tour the breathtaking new Alumni House, the first building on campus named after an alumnus, Gregory P. Klich '84.

3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Admission Welcome Center


Enjoy a walk through our beautiful campus and learn about the world-class facilities, academic buildings and residence halls on this 45-minute student-led tour.

6 - 9 p.m.
Gregory P. Klich Alumni House


Each ticket includes food, beer and wine tastings, a rum tasting from a new local distillery and a souvenir cup.

8 - 10 p.m.
Freeman Center, President’s Box


Join us for cocktails and heavy hors d'oeuvres as we reunite former and current Captain’s basketball players for a night of celebration.

10 p.m. - midnight
Freeman Center


CNU's annual Midnight Madness event is the ride of a lifetime! Join various student organizations for a night of games, free food, giveaways and more. Help us kick off the homecoming football game with a bang.

Tailgate pass will call opens at 9 a.m. on the street between the DSU and York River Hall.

Parents, take a break from the Tailgate Zone and walk over to James River Field for a festival filled with cotton candy, popcorn, face-painting, games, blow-ups, and even a rock wall for the little Captains in your life.

Throughout campus


The golf cart parade is a Homecoming tradition where student clubs and organizations show off their Captains spirit by decorating CNU’s favorite mode of transportation - golf carts! The route will take carts from the Freeman Center past the David Student Union to James River Field.

1 p.m.
POMOCO Stadium


Bring your friends and family to POMOCO Stadium to cheer the Captains on to victory over the College of New Jersey.

The Cove Tavern


Join us at The Cove in City Center as we take over the outdoor patio and bar. Music and heavy hors d'oeuvres will be provided. Register prior to November 1 and your first drink is on us!

September 22-November 1: $15 per person (includes one drink ticket)
November 1-4: $20 per person (at-the-door ticket sales)

Each ticket includes a $5 donation to the Multicultural Alumni Chapter. This chapter includes alumni affiliated with organizations that represent various social identities, such as the Multicultural Student Association, Spectrum (formerly GSSU), HOLA, Hillel, BSU, NPHC and more.
