Friday, November 8
3rd Annual CNU Captains Choice Golf Classic Tournament
River Course, Kingsmill Resort, Williamsburg, VA
Registration, 9 a.m., Shotgun start 11 a.m.
Join us for an exciting day of golf, hosted by the Peninsula Alumni Chapter, at one of the nation's finest courses, the River Course at Kingsmill Resort. In addition to helping fund scholarships through the Christopher Newport Alumni Society, you will also support Fear2Freedom, a nonprofit organization empowering communities to prevent and eradicate sexual abuse. Homecoming Check-In and Virginia Running Festival Packet Pickup

Pick up your Homecoming 2013 package filled with weekend updates and exclusive alumni goodies (as well as your Virginia Running Festival packet). Alumni are encouraged to pre-register online to guarantee T-shirt sizes and customized materials. Alumni arriving after 4 p.m.. can pick up their Homecoming package at the reception on Friday evening at Toby Keith's I love This Bar & Grill in City Center at Oyster Point or during registration Saturday.
Alumni Campus Tour

Join the Office of Admission and other alumni for a special campus tour after you check in for Homecoming. Walk through the newest buildings on campus, including Luter Hall, Forbes Hall and McMurran Hall. CNU Captains Choice Golf Classic Awards Dinner

Everyone is welcome at the picturesque Kingsmill Resort for a festive dinner, raffle and awards ceremony for the 3rd Annual CNU Captains Choice Golf Classic. Golfers and nongolfers alike will have the opportunity to bid on a variety of fantastic raffle items and prizes. So whether you golf in the tournament or simply wish to enjoy the great atmosphere, food and fun at Kingsmill, please join us for a wonderful evening to kick off Homecoming 2013. Glow in the Darcapella
Concert Hall, Ferguson Center for the Arts
CNU A Cappella presents Glow in the Darcappella 2013! Come out to see all of CNU’s a cappella groups perform in one night under black lights! The concert will take place on Friday, November 8th at 7pm in the Ferguson Center Concert Hall. Make sure to bring glow sticks and wear any neon clothes you have to enhance the experience! Students may purcahse tickets in the breezeway of the David Student Union through Friday, November 8th. Alumni may purchase tickets online.

Last year's event was such a success, let's continue the tradition! Join the Christopher Newport Alumni Society for appetizers, drinks and great door prizes. Catch up with friends and finalize plans for the Alumni Alley tailgating festivities and football game on Saturday.
Several organizations, including Catholic Campus Ministries, InterVarsity, the President's Leadership Program, Tau Delta Phi, and others will be hosting reunions, so if you were involved in any of these organizations during your college years, be sure to join them.

If you did have a chance to pick up your Homecoming or Virginia Running Festival packet on Friday, this is your last chance! Those who have purchased tailgate passes may also pick them up at this time. Just follow the signs posted on Avenue of the Arts to receive your packets and passes.

Join the Alumni Society as we invite families and friends to come by Alumni Alley before the football game. As a Captain for Life, you won't wont to miss the pregame excitement. After you've stopped by the Alumni Society's tailgate, be sure to visit other alumni organizations tailgates including Catholic Campus Ministries, InterVaristy, PCSE, Tau Delta Phi, and the Peninsula, Richmond, and CNU Football alumni.

Please note, glass drinking containers will no longer be allowed in the Tailgate Zone. Beverages in glass containers must be poured into plastic containers. Any patron drinking from a glass container will be asked to leave immediately and without refund.
Family friends tailgate passes are available upon request. The family friendly tailgate will be adjacent to the main Tailgate Zone. No loud music or student organizations will be permitted in this zone. A limited number of family friendly tailgate passes are available and must be requested when purchasing tailgate passes.
James River Field
$15 per person
Enjoy the fun atmosphere of game day without doing your own grilling. CNU Dining and Catering Services invites all alumni and families to a Homecoming picnic on James River Field. Hamburgers, BBQ and all the "fixin's" will be served. Faculty will also attend this event, so take this opportunity to catch up with former favorite professors. A cash bar will also be available. Golf Cart Parade
Celebrate CNU clubs and organizations as they show their Captain spirit on CNU's favorite mode of transportation. The route starts at The Freeman Center heading pas the DSU to James River Field. Find a spot along the route and cheer for your favorite cart! If you are a student organization and would like to register your organization, please visit the student tab at homecoming.cnu.edu.

Come out for a great evening of NCAA Division III football! Bring your friends and family to POMOCO Stadium to cheer the Captains on to victory over the Averett University Cougars. Enjoy the incredibly talented Marching Captains, the CNU Storm dance team and our nationally ranked cheerleaders as they provide the spirit and hype!

Virginia Running Festival Registration and Check-In
6 - 7:30 a.m.
This is your last chance to sign up for the Virginia Running Festival Half-Marathon, the Alumni 5k or the Little Captains Half-Miler races. Enjoy a super-fast flat course as your race through campus and the neighboring streets of CNU. If you have pre-registered and were not able to pick up your packet and race bib on Friday or Saturday, this is your chance. Virginia Running Festival Half-Marathon
Cost: $85 October 1 - November 2, $90 Race Day
The Virginia Running Festival's second annual half-marathon course is mostly flat and shaded with a few hilly stretches. The course follows a scenic route with great views of the James River and Mariners' Museum property.
Cost: $40 October 1 - November 2, $45 Race Day
Give yourself a running tour of campus in the 13th Annual Christopher Newport Alumni Society 5k. The 5k course begins around the campus perimeter, then continues through the heart of CNU, finishing on the track inside POMOCO Stadium.
Little Captains Half-Miler
There are no age requirements for the half-mile fun run! Participants will finish on the track inside POMOCO Stadium and receive drinks and snacks at the finish. Parents may choose to run with their child if he or she needs help staying on course or is under 4 years old. Otherwise, parents are encouraged to stay at the start/finish line area for the best photo opportunities.
