The Honors Program at CNU seeks students with a record of academic excellence and intellectual curiosity.
Each year, we select at least 100 entering freshmen as Honors Students. Typically, these students present a GPA of at least 3.7 and a combined SAT score of at least 1250 (Critical Reading & Math). However, preference is also given to students with a strong high school curriculum. Our process is also nuanced enough to consider, and - if necessary - make allowances for the individual context of each student’s school or situation. We hope you will apply!

Honors Program Scholarships
Students selected for the Honors Program are eligible to receive an annual scholarship of $2,000 or $5,000 per year. Qualified students may be selected to participate in both the Honors and President’s Leadership Programs. While these students will be able to enjoy the many benefits of each program, they will only be eligible to receive one scholarship. Since the scholarships are designated as residential, students must reside on campus to receive the award.
