The medieval and Renaissance studies minor brings together a dynamic set of courses across several departments, allowing students to explore how the legacies of medieval and Renaissance arts, history, literature and theater, as well as philosophical, theological and political thought, have helped shape our modern world.

The curriculum encourages students to think more broadly, historically and creatively about topics learned in their majors. While open to all students, the minor will appeal especially to those majoring in art, art history, English, government, history, modern and classical languages and literatures, music, philosophy, and theater.
