Applicants must hold a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher at the time of the submission. The selection criteria are based on service to the Fraternity and over all improvement in in musicianship. The selection committee is comprised of members of the music faculty. Applicants must be enrolled full-time at CNU at the time of submission, remain enrolled full-time at CNU, and be in good standing with the Fraternity the following year. $500 is awarded each year to a rising senior in good standing of Alpha Iota enrolled full-time at Christopher Newport University. Applicants must hold a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher at the time of the submission. the selection criteria are based of service to the Fraternity and overall improvement in musicianship. The selection committee is comprised of members if the music Faculty. Applicants must be enrolled full-time at CNU at the time of submission, remain enrolled full-time at CNU, and be in good standing with the Fraternity the following year. A monetary award is made each year to an instrumental music major who has piano as his of her applied instrument. Applicants must perform one work on the music scholarship recital and hold a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher at the time of the audition. The recipient must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, enroll each semester in his of her major ensemble, and remain enrolled full-time as an instrumental music education major with piano as his or her applied instrument in the Department of Music at Christopher Newport University.
