CNU To Host Part of Marathon Race Route

CNU will host a part of the race route for the One City Marathon.

On Sunday, March 12, 2017 from 5 a.m. to noon, CNU will host a part of the race route for the One City Marathon. During that time-frame, the University will virtually be closed for traffic. Avenue of the Arts, Prince Drew Road and both main entrances will be closed and monitored by University Police and Newport News Police.

The best access point to campus during this time will be via Hiden Blvd. and Moore’s Lane, as the entrances to campus on Warwick Blvd. will be restricted.

Vehicles needing to exit from campus must use Prince Drew or Shoe Lane to Moore’s Lane to Hiden Blvd to Warwick Blvd. There will be officers on hand to assist any pedestrian traffic needing to cross the race route.

Lots B (visitor lot) and C (near Freeman Center and Trible Library) will be closed. Any vehicles not removed from the lots by 10 p.m. Saturday March 11, 2017 will be towed at the owner's expense.
