The Judy Ford Wason Center for Public Policy will host a mayoral debate and City Council forum at Christopher Newport in advance of the May 1, 2018 citywide elections. Dr. Quentin Kidd, dean of the College of Social Sciences and director of the Wason Center, will moderate both sessions.

"These elections are important," says Kidd. "Local government has the most direct and immediate impact on our lives, and the residents of Newport News are being offered choices that reflect a variety of views on what city government should be doing for our community.
