Ferguson Center for the Arts to Celebrate One-millionth Patron Milestone

(Newport News, Va.) - The Ferguson Center for the Arts will celebrate its one-millionth patron milestone at the upcoming performance of The Wizard of Oz on Sunday, March 27, 2011.

The "One-Millionth Patron Celebration" is planned for the start of intermission. Three lucky patrons will be randomly selected and each will receive a gift package totaling approximately $3500.  The package includes two 2011-2012 season passes, complimentary valet parking for the entire season, as well as opportunities to attend special receptions and artist meet-and-greets.

Attendee numbers to all events held at the Center since its opening in 2004 have been tracked by Ticketmaster reports and by Ferguson Center house managers.

An architecturally bold and dynamic environment, the Ferguson Center for the Arts is a remarkable center, not only for the world-class facilities and breathtaking design, but also by its broad roots in the community and its far-reaching impact. Designed by I.M. Pei, Cobb, Freed and Partners, the New York architectural firm that created some of the most celebrated buildings in the world, this facility offers one of the most dramatic vistas in the Commonwealth of Virginia and is rivaled by few communities in America. Whether in our 200-seat Studio Theatre, 500-seat Music & Theatre Hall or elegant 1,700-seat Concert Hall, hundreds of thousands of people from Hampton Roads and beyond have enjoyed the finest cultural attractions and entertainers the world has to offer in acoustically superb surroundings.
