Dr. Richard Cheney

Rick Cheney came to CNU in 1985, after spending 9 years teaching at other colleges.  He has a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Massachusetts (1969) and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry/Genetics from Duke University (1975).  He also held a two-year postdoctoral research position in Microbiology at North Carolina State University. 

When not in front of the class, he can often be found doing genealogical research on line.  Dr. Cheney currently teaches Principles of Biology, Genetics & Vertebrate Embryology. He has two sons.
