Biography

Abby earned her BSBA with a Concentration in Accounting from CNU. She earned her Master of Science in Accounting from Liberty University and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Abby worked in a family consulting business, Organization Diagnostics, Inc. (later QWLC), from 1997 to 2003 in various capacities to serve organizational development clients. She then worked for the corporate finance department of Ferguson Enterprises, Inc. in Newport News, VA from 2003 to 2008. She served in the Accounts Payable and Intercompany Accounting units, and later as a Systems Administrator to maintain the corporation’s accounting system and execute a wide range of functions at all phases of the accounting cycle. She now provides bookkeeping services to Teamsters Local Union 95 in Williamsburg, VA (2011 - present). At CNU, Abby serves as the Beta Gamma Sigma faculty advisor and participates in the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Program by working to prepare international students’ tax forms. Abby worked with a colleague to publish a critical incident in the Journal of Critical Incidents, fall 2015.
