  • BA in Physics, Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania

All level physics courses.

Dr. DeJong researches the interaction between the solar wind and the Earth's magnetosphere. She is mostly interested in the dynamics of magnetosphere and different modes of energy transport with the magnetosphere.

After graduating from Shippensburg University with a degree in Physics, Dr DeJong spent 5 years teaching high school physics and chemistry in Frederick Maryland. While teaching, she earned her masters degree in Applied Physics from Johns Hopkins University. After getting her master's degree she went back to school as a full graduate student at the University of Michigan where she received her M.S. and Ph.D. in Space Science. She then spent 4 years at Southwest Research Institute as both a post doc and a research scientist. In the fall of 2012 she joined the faculty at CNU.
