Biography

BSBA from Old Dominion University with a concentration in accounting. I am an actively licensed CPA in Virginia. I worked for a public accounting firm (CPA firm) for 31 years from the level of entry level associate to partner. I was a partner for the final 19 years prior to retirement. I spent time working in the financial statement QC function of the firm. My firm grew from the 29th largest in the US to the 17th largest, providing me to gain experience on both small and large businesses as both an auditor and business consultant. Included in my practice were publically traded companies. I was also involved in significantly complex accounting matters. In addition to auditing I also prepared both corporate and individual tax returns. My goal is to leverage that professional experience to provide a more robust learning experience for the students.
