Education

  • Ph D in Organic Chemistry, University of Notre Dame
  • BS in Chemistry, Syracuse University

Teaching

My teaching interests are organic chemistry, synthetic chemistry, and retrosynthetic analysis. I also enjoy biological mechanisms and transformations, pharmacology/medicinal chemistry, and communication and critical thinking in chemistry.

Research

My research interests cover several areas of organic chemistry, including heterocyclic chemistry, cyclization reactions, cascade (or tandem) reactions, catalysis, reaction methodology development, and total synthesis. We are also interested in green chemistry and medicinal chemistry projects.
