Teaching
I teach primarily Human Behavior in the Social Environment, Introduction to Social Work and Social Welfare, and a Senior Seminar in Social Work. Other relevant areas of instruction include research methods, social psychology, and social work practice.
Research
I study values and moral decision-making - exploring the experience of personal and professional value conflicts and the ways in which students, practitioners and educators resolve such conflicts.
I also study characteristics of undergraduate social work students and implications for educators.
Biography
With a Master of Social Work and a PhD in Developmental/Educational Psychology, both from the University of Pittsburgh, I have over 20 years of experience as faculty member.
