2014-2015 Curriculum Update

The University faculty and staff have been working for the previous three years reviewing the curriculum to ensure it is relevant and fresh for our students. We have realigned the curriculum and several major changes have been approved.

You will see that some courses have multiple designations based on the individual student’s entry to CNU. Specifically, the Area of Inquiry (A of I) for Identity, Institutions, and Societies (AIIS) will only apply to undergraduate students who were in attendance at the University prior to Fall 2014. The new Area of Inquiry for Civic and Democratic Engagement (AIDE) will apply only to undergraduate students who are new to CNU beginning in Fall 2014. Additionally the new Liberal Learning Foundation: Economic Modeling and Analysis will only apply to undergraduate students who are new to CNU beginning in Fall 2014.

The A of I for Formal and Informal Reasoning (AIIF) will only apply to undergraduate students who were in attendance at the University prior to Fall 2014. The new Liberal Learning Foundation: Logical Reasoning will apply only to undergraduate students who are new to CNU beginning in Fall 2014.

This curriculum update will change graduation requirement for all students entering the University beginning in Fall 2014. All students should remember that the catalog in effect for their year of entry to the University provides the student with a clear guideline of his/her curricular requirements for graduation.

Specific changes to course designations based on the new curriculum are forthcoming. Please note that not all courses will be offered each semester. Please view the Schedule of Classes to confirm course offerings.
