Directions

If you’re flying to the area, you have several choices of airports:

  • Newport News-Williamsburg International Airport
  • Norfolk International Airport
  • Richmond International Airport

There are also an Amtrak train station in Newport News and a Greyhound bus station in Hampton.

The visitor parking lot is the first right after you enter campus.

Driving Directions

From Richmond, Charlottesville, and Northern Virginia

  • Take I-64 East to Exit 258-A, J. Clyde Morris Boulevard South (Rt. 17).
  • Continue straight and cross Warwick Boulevard.
  • J. Clyde Morris Boulevard becomes Avenue of the Arts.
  • Bear right on Avenue of the Arts.
  • Take the first exit in the roundabout and enter the University.

From Winchester & Northwestern Virginia

  • Take U.S. 66 East to Rt. 17 South to Fredericksburg.
  • I-95 South to I-295 South to I-64 East.
  • I-64 East to Exit 258-A, J. Clyde Morris Boulevard South (Rt. 17).
  • Continue straight and cross Warwick Boulevard.
  • J. Clyde Morris Boulevard becomes Avenue of the Arts.
  • Bear right on Avenue of the Arts.
  • Take the first exit in the roundabout and enter the University.

From Martinsville/Danville

  • Take U.S. 58/460 East to I-664 North.
  • I-664 across the Monitor-Merrimac Bridge-Tunnel.
  • I-64 West to Exit 258-A, J. Clyde Morris Boulevard South (Rt. 17).
  • Continue straight and cross Warwick Boulevard.
  • J. Clyde Morris Boulevard becomes Avenue of the Arts.
  • Bear right on Avenue of the Arts.
  • Take the first exit in the roundabout and enter the University.

From Chesapeake, Suffolk, & Portsmouth

  • Follow routes to and across the Monitor-Merrimac Bridge-Tunnel.
  • I-64 West to Exit 258-A, J. Clyde Morris Boulevard South (Rt. 17).
  • Continue straight and cross Warwick Boulevard.
  • J. Clyde Morris Boulevard becomes Avenue of the Arts.
  • Bear right on Avenue of the Arts.
  • Take the first exit in the roundabout and enter the University.

From Norfolk & Virginia Beach

  • Take I-64 West to and across the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel.
  • Continue on I-64 West to Exit 258-A, J. Clyde Morris Boulevard South (Rt. 17).
  • Continue straight and cross Warwick Boulevard.
  • J. Clyde Morris Boulevard becomes Avenue of the Arts.
  • Bear right on Avenue of the Arts.
  • Take the first exit in the roundabout and enter the University.

From Eastern Shore

  • Take U.S. 13 South to and across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel (toll).
  • U.S. 13 South to the Northampton Boulevard interchange of I-64.
  • I-64 West to Exit 258-A, J. Clyde Morris Boulevard South (Rt. 17).
  • Continue straight and cross Warwick Boulevard.
  • J. Clyde Morris Boulevard becomes Avenue of the Arts.
  • Bear right on Avenue of the Arts.
  • Take the first exit in the roundabout and enter the University.

From Roanoke/Lynchburg/Petersburg

  • Rt. 460 East to I-664 North.
  • I-664 to and across the Monitor-Merrimac Bridge-Tunnel.
  • I-64 West to Exit 258-A, J. Clyde Morris Boulevard South (Rt. 17).

From Northern Neck
