Andy Straka
Andy Straka is the author of five books in the Pavlicek mystery series as well as two
suspense thrillers. A licensed falconer and co-founder of the popular Crime Wave at
the annual Virginia Festival of the Book, he is a native of upstate New York and a
graduate of Williams College. He lives with his family in Virginia.

Donna Andrews
Donna Andrews was born in Yorktown, Va., and now lives in Reston, Va. The Real
Macaw is the latest book in her Agatha-and Anthony-winning Meg Langslow series.
She has also written four books in the Turing Hopper series.

Steve Hamilton
Born and raised in Detroit, Steve Hamilton graduated from the University of Michigan.
His novel The Lock Artist won the 2011 Edgar Award. He is the author of eight novels
in the Alex McKnight mystery series. He currently works for IBM in upstate New
York where he lives with his wife, Julia, and their two children.

Brad Parks
Brad Parks’ debut, Faces of the Gone, won the Nero Award for Best American Mystery
and the Shamus Award for Best First Mystery. The third Carter Ross adventure, The Girl
Next Door, is due out March 13, 2012. Parks is a Dartmouth College graduate who spent
a dozen years as a reporter for The Washington Post and the Newark Star-Ledger and
is now a full-time novelist. He lives with his wife and two small children in Virginia.
