Auditions

Due to university COVID requirements, all auditionees must wear a mask while inside the Ferguson Center for the Arts. Auditionees can sign up for an appointment to audition on the sign-up sheet located on the callboard outside the Rehearsal Hall.

General Auditions:

  • November 9, 7 - 11 p.m.
  • In the Rehearsal Hall (Ferguson T107)

Pippin Dance Audition:

  • November 10, 6 - 7:30 p.m.
  • In the Rehearsal Hall
  • Dance callbacks to follow immediately

Please prepare a song from a Schwartz musical or contemporary musical in a similar style (no Wicked, please), or 70s folk pop (e.g., Heart, Tina Turner, Elton John), 90 seconds/32 bars. Piano accompaniment provided.

Please prepare a 50 - 60-second modern, comedic monologue.

Callbacks

Pippin

  • Callbacks will be held on November 11, at 7 p.m. in person.
  • All roles to be cast.

Everybody

  • Callbacks will be held on November 12, at 6 p.m. in person.
  • All roles to be cast.

Additional Information

Theater students in the acting and music-theater concentrations are required to audition. This audition will serve as part of the Senior Exit Exam for all musical-theater and acting students. Please contact your adviser for more information.

TheaterCNU maintains an open casting policy for Mainstage and Second Stage productions. All students, faculty, staff and Coastal Virginia community members are welcome to audition.
