Times are tough in this depression-era city, but small-time gangster, Arturo Ui, is making big promises and some ‘offers you can’t refuse’ as he rises to the top, using corruption, bribery, and violence in his bid to take over the all-important vegetable trade. So put on your fedora and join the fun(?) for this Brechtian satire that may have more to say about our future than our past.
