How to Apply

Test Optional

Students with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 or who rank in the top 10 percent of their class may choose whether or not to submit standardized test scores (SAT or ACT).

If you meet the above criteria, and do not want standardized test scores to be used in the evaluation of your application, please indicate this on the appropriate section in the application.

If you choose not to submit standardized test scores, we strongly encourage you to submit at least one recommendation from a teacher in a core subject area. Home-schooled applicants, students attending schools outside the United States and students applying for the Honors Program must submit standardized test scores.

Test-optional application files must include credentials strong enough to stand on their own for the student to be competitive for admission. Curriculum rigor will be weighed more heavily for test-optional applicants. Typically, college-level coursework is required, such as Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate or dual enrollment.
