Surface Force Projection Conference

Enabling Dynamic Force Employment through Global Port Readiness

July 29 - 30, 2020

Co-hosted by the National Defense Transportation Association (NDTA) and Christopher Newport University's Center for American Studies

About the Conference

SFPC Participants and NDTA Members,
We all continue to feel the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, we will not be able to hold the 2020 Surface Force Projection Conference (SFPC) at Christopher Newport University. In the interest of safety, the school suspended on-campus activities for the summer months, and so we have decided to move this year’s SFPC in a new direction. Given our desire to remain focused on the subject matter of our conference, we will provide an opportunity to educate and work the issues relevant to the government and industry.

We will hold two webinars, on July 29 and 30, 2020, featuring four of our SFPC keynote speakers. In general, each webinar will be scheduled for 1.5 hours and will feature two speakers, each supported by a senior leader who will shape and guide the discussion. We ensure audience participation through a Q&A period.

Details about these webinars will be available at the link below.

In-Person Panels

We will move two or three SFPC panels to the NDTA-USTRANSCOM fall meeting, as part of the Transportation Academy October 5 - 8, 2020, in St. Louis. Although we cannot accommodate every panel, we have good representation.
