Main campus residence halls will close for the fall semester on Saturday, November 21. Students residing in units with 10- or 12-month periods of occupancy may stay on campus through the winter break unless otherwise instructed.

Main campus residence halls (James River Hall, Potomac River Hall, Santoro Hall, Warwick River Hall and York River Hall) close for Thanksgiving, winter and spring breaks. Residents may not reside in their room but may leave their belongings in their rooms over break. CNU Apartments (Harrison, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, Washington), CNU Landing, CNU Village (Taylor, Tyler, Wilson), Greek Village and Rappahannock River Hall remain open during all break periods. See the residential calendar for specific dates and times of hall closings.

Should the university decide to evacuate or otherwise close based on an emergency or other unforeseen circumstance, all residents must vacate regardless of their room assignment.
