12-Month Occupancy Units Move-In Begins

Hall openings for Rappahannock River, Greek Village, Presidents, Harrison, and Madison begin at 9 a.m.; check-in for Rappahannock River is at the James River front desk. East Campus is at the east area office.

First-Year Student Move-In

Potomac North, York East and West will take place Friday, August 12, Saturday, August 13 and Sunday, August 14, 2022.

Santoro Hall will take place Saturday, August 13 and Sunday, August 14, 2022.

*All students must register for a move-in date and time. More information will be provided to students once they receive their room assignment.

New Transfer Student Move-In

Transfer students should plan to arrive on campus on Wednesday, August 17 in order to participate in Changing Tides on August 18.

Returning Student Move-In

Hall openings for returning students in James River, Potomac River, Warwick River, CNU Landing, Jefferson, Monroe, Taylor, Tyler, Washington and Wilson

*Students will be required to register for a move-in date and time.  Registration links will be sent out in early August.

Fall Term Room Change Period Begins

Residents may request room changes for convenience if openings are available; fees apply

Fall Break

Residence halls do not close; all students may remain on campus; no meals served in dining halls

Fall Room Change Period Ends

No convenience room changes may occur until after final exams / winter break

Thanksgiving Break

Main campus residence halls close at noon on Wednesday; all students must vacate (belongings may remain); Main campus halls reopen Sunday at noon; East and North Campus residence halls remain open throughout

24-Hour Quiet Begins at 9 p.m.

Quiet hours remain in place until Sunday, December 11, 2022

Winter Break Begins

Main campus residence halls close at noon; all students must vacate; students planning to return to the same room in January may leave belongings in the room; East and North Campus residence halls remain open throughout

New to Campus and Transfer Students Move-In

New students may move to campus to participate in the Changing Tides orientation program
