Beta Gamma Sigma, the international business honor society, has recognized the Luter School of Business’s chapter as a highest honors chapter for the second year in a row.
“Only the exceptional leadership of our students and faculty could pull this off,” says Dean George Ebbs.
Founded in 1913, Beta Gamma Sigma is the international business honor society for Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business-accredited schools – which comprise only the top 5 percent of business school programs worldwide.
Recognition as a highest honors chapter indicates a campus where academic excellence is highly valued and where student members work diligently to enhance Beta Gamma Sigma’s stature.
This means, quite literally, that Luter students are the best of the best.
“Initiation in Beta Gamma Sigma is only open to the top 10 percent of Luter students,” says Abby Brooks, Luter professor and faculty adviser to Beta Gamma Sigma. “It is highly competitive and our students take it very seriously.”
Since 2015, Luter has received recognition from Beta Gamma Sigma each year.
“I give all the credit to our students, and to Professor Brooks and her leadership,” says Ebbs.
The most notable benefit of recognition as a highest honors chapter is a full scholarship for a Luter student to attend the Global Leadership Summit and receive a paid professional development opportunity.
