Transfer Orientation

Changing Tides is a virtual orientation program designed for new transfer students to connect with other students, learn more about academic and campus life, and explore campus resources.

The program is required for all new transfer students and will be held virtually on Friday, August 28. Please check your CNU email for more information.

You can register yourself and your guests at the link below. Please note, there is a $25 charge for students. Registration will be available starting July 15 for students transferring in the fall semester and November 15 for those transferring in the spring semester.

Due to space limitations this year and our commitment to providing physical distance during our program, guests cannot attend. Virtual orientation content will be made available to families. Please see your email from the Office of Orientation for further information.

Yes. We value your success over the next few years and want you to be aware of our expectations as well as the resources we have to support you. If you are unable to attend, please contact us at (757) 594–7767 or orientation@cnu.edu.

Check in will begin around 8 a.m. and last until approximately 5 p.m.

Yes. However, there are limited spaces available in the residence halls and housing is not guaranteed. If you are interested in living on campus please contact University Housing at (757) 594-7754. You will work with them directly to sign your housing contract and pay your $250 housing deposit.
