Visitor Parking
Visitors to the University must have a valid parking pass at all times. Anyone who is not a student, faculty or staff member at Christopher Newport University is a visitor.
Parking and Transportation Services will issue temporary parking passes at no charge to visitors. The following conditions apply:
- Passes are valid for no more then three days at a time.
- Passes must be used by the visitor; no others may use the pass.
- Visitors may park only in visitor spaces (see parking maps).
To obtain a valid visitor parking pass, the following documentation is required:
- Proof of identification (e.g., driver’s license, non-CNU ID card)
- Vehicle make, model, color and license plate
Parking Services will issue visitor parking passes during normal business hours (8 a.m.–5 p.m). Visitors can also get a temporary pass from University Police at any time.
If you receive a citation for “No Valid CNU Decal” while visiting the University, please follow the instructions on the back side of the citation.
Admission Office Parking
Designated spaces in Lot B are reserved for visitors to the Office of Admission.
Freeman Center Visitor Spaces
Designated spaces in Lot E are reserved for paying members of the Freeman Center.
