Research

Christi Harris is a painter who focuses on issues of domesticity and consumer culture, with an underlying reliance on technical skill.

Biography

Christi Harris earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree at Southwest Missouri State in Springfield, Missouri. The year following graduation, she pursued her M.F.A. at the Rhode Island School of Design.

Ms. Harris’ artwork has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including exhibits in Tokyo, Japan.

Her academic career has taken her to three states and seven teaching institutions. She is now an Associate Professor in the Department of Fine Art and Art History at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia where she primarily teaches drawing and painting.
