All registration is done via CNU Live.

Students should check their "Registration Status" in CNU Live for their specific registration day and time by following these steps:

  • Log into CNU Live
  • Select Student Services and Financial Aid
  • Select the Registration menu
  • Select Spring 2026 (or Summer terms 2026)
  • Choose Check Your Registration Status

Spring 2026 Schedule adjustment periods for currently enrolled students

  • First period: Monday, December 15, 2025, through Friday, December 19, 2025
  • Final add/drop: Wednesday, January 7, 2025, at 8 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2025

Registration for all new Spring/Summer 2026 graduate students

  • Monday, December 15, 2025, through Friday, December 19, 2025

Spring 2026 Registration for all non-degree-seeking students

  • Friday, January 9, 2026 at 8 a.m. until Friday, January 16, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.

Summer 2026 Terms schedule adjustment periods for currently enrolled students

  • May Term 2026: Friday, March 20, 2026 at 10 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2026
  • Summer Term 1 2026: Friday, March 20, 2026 at 10 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2026
  • Summer Term 2 2026: Friday, March 20, 2026 at 10 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2026

Summer 2026 Registration for all non-degree seeking students

  • May Term 2026: Friday May 8, 2026 at 8 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2026
  • Summer Term 1 2026: Friday, May 29, 2026 at 8 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2026
  • Summer Term 2 2026: Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 8 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2026

Registration Tips

  • Check your registration dates.
  • Schedule an advising appointment as soon as possible.
  • Ensure you don't have any holds on your account (this can be done in CNULive).
  • Resolve any registration restricting holds prior to your registration day.
  • Holds that are paid online are released within 24 hours of payment. Please direct questions regarding this type of hold to Student Accounts.

Course Overrides

Requests for overrides for a full (closed) section of a course are based on extenuating circumstances and require department chair approval.

To request a course override, please log in to CNU Live. The override request is available under Student Forms in the Student Services & Financial Aid section. Override requests are sent to the appropriate department chair for review. You will be notified of the decision via CNU email.
