Leadership, Service, Honor
A good college education requires more than simply attending class and studying for exams. At Christopher Newport you’ll learn the importance of good citizenship and leadership, and graduate determined to transform the world for the better.
From the day you arrive on campus, you’ll embark on a path to significance and honor. At Convocation, faculty and alumni will join you as you sign the Honor Code and embrace our community of honor. From there you’ll have limitless opportunities to lead and serve through Christopher Newport’s vibrant Greek life and more than 200 student organizations.
Signature initiatives like the President’s Leadership Program (PLP), Center for Community Engagement and the Student Honor Council offer opportunities to lead, advance knowledge, encourage discovery, and deepen compassion and understanding.
PLP will empower you to recognize your potential and prepare you for a life of leadership, service and civic responsibility.
Through the Center for Community Engagement you can join programs committed to improving the lives of others, like the Bonner Service Scholars, or work in countless other ways to better the world around you. And when you’ve completed your studies and taken advantage of all CNU has to offer, you could be recognized at commencement with Service Distinction.
