Deposits may be made to a cardholder's Captains Cash account three different ways:

  • The Captains Cash Kiosk (cash or credit card) - Must have your Captains Card and credit card, if using one, with you. Kiosks are located directly the ATM in the David Student Union and Einstein's Cafe in the Trible Library
  • Online  - Go to https://mycaptainscard-sp.blackboard.com/eaccounts/
  • In person (cash or check) -

    • Go to the Cashier's Office on the 2nd floor, Gosnold Hall, and tell them you want to make a deposit on your Captains Card.
    • Once the money is received by the Cashier's Office it can take up to 24 hours before it is available in your account.
  • By mail - We recommend all deposits be accompanied by a Captains Cash Deposit Mail In form to ensure the money is accurately credited to your Captains Cash account.

If you would like to deposit funds in your student's Captains Cash account, please read the following before making a deposit:

  • There is be a $2.50 fee for each deposit.
  • Be sure to capitalize the first letter of your student's first and last name.
  • In the field labeled "Captains Card," please key in your student's student ID number. This number should be 8 digits in length. Example: 00901960.
  • Clicking the "Submit" button multiple time may result in multiple deposits on your student's Captains Card as well as multiple charges to your credit card.
  • Some credit card processors may take up to 24 hours before the deposit is available in the cardholder's account.
  • We request you provide us with a telephone number.

Make the Deposit!

Deposits in Person or by Mail:

Error Messages
If you receive an error message please contact the Captains Card office immediately. Attempting to make additional deposits could result in multiple deposits on your student's Captains Card as well as multiple charges to your credit card.

Balances and Refunds

Balances

  • You can check the balance of your Captains Cash, Dining Dollars, or Print Funds by visiting any Kiosk, any  register, or by logging in online.
  • Balances can not be transferred to any other account on the Captains Card.
  • If you have a negative balance, you are responsible for bringing your account current. The Captains Card Office will notify you requesting a deposit..
  • Captains Cash funds will carry forward as long as you are enrolled or employed by the University and the account is used at least once per semester.

Cash withdrawals are not permitted at any time, from any account.

Refunds

  • Students who are graduating or withdrawing from the University may request a refund at the end of the semester.
  • Faculty or staff you leave the employment of the University may also request a refund at the end of your tenure.
  • Refunds will only be issued to a student or an employee if a written request is submitted to the Captains Card Office. Monies deposited by the University as a credit are not eligible for a refund.
  • Dining Dollars and Print Funds are not eligible for refunds.
Neither the Captains Card Office nor the DSU Welcome Desk can release account information over the phone.
