Captains Cash

  • Deposit online or at kiosk in the David Student Union.
  • Use funds on- and off-campus.
  • Captains Cash rolls over each semester and through the summer as long as you are enrolled in classes.
  • Refunds provided upon written request.

Dining Dollars

  • Received as part of the meal plan.
  • Use only at on-campus dining locations for food and beverages.
  • Funds do not roll over each semester (non-refundable).

Print Funds

  • Received from the University ($10 per student each semester).
  • Funds do not roll over each semester (non-refundable).
  • Print funds may only be used in printers and copiers.

Make a Deposit

 You can make a deposit to your Captains Cash account in the following ways:

Captains Cash Kiosk

The kiosk is located in the David Student Union. The kiosk accepts cash and credit cards.

Online

You can add funds to a Captains Card online by visiting My Captains Card. It may take up to 24 hours before funds are available.

For parents, family members or friends wishing to add money to a student's card, you must know the student’s ID number.

There is a $2.50 fee for online deposits.

In Person

Visit the Cashier's Office on the first floor of Christopher Newport Hall. You can make a deposit to your account using cash or check. It can take up to one business day before the funds are available for use. 

The Welcome Desk in David Student Union also accepts credit card or cash for a Captains Cash deposit.

For parents, family members or friends wishing to add money to a student's card, you must know the student's ID number.

By Mail

Send check or money order to our office. Use a Captains Cash Deposit Mail form to ensure the money is accurately credited to your account.
