Trumpet Festival

The Trumpet Festival is for trumpet enthusiasts of all ages, and will feature professional and student trumpeters in performance along with an entire day of masterclasses, lectures and recitals.

All styles of trumpet performance will be represented as well as engaging panels on practicing, performing and career development. Guest artists include: Ashley Hall, Victor Haskins, David Vonderheide and FifthBridge.  Admission is free, and all attendees will receive a free CD.

1-1:45 p.m. David Vonderheide lecture, "Studying with Vincent Cichowicz"
2-2:45 p.m. "Careers in Trumpet," with Ashley Hall, Victor Haskins, David Vonderheide, Gabriel DiMartino, Peyden Shelton, Jason Crafton and Mark Oates
3-3:45 p.m. Victor Haskins lecture and performance, "A Storyteller's Approach to Improvisation"
4-4:30 p.m. Festival Trumpet Ensemble rehearsal (all attendees are invited to participate)
4:30-6:30 p.m. Dinner*
7 p.m. Trumpet Festival concert, Diamonstein Concert Hall

*Lunch and dinner are "on your own." There are many restaurants within walking distance, including in the David Student Union.
