Philosophy and Religion

The Minor in Philosophy & Religion is flexible: you can take all philosophy courses, all religion courses, or mix the two depending on your interests. Either way, you’ll sharpen skills in reasoning, writing, and discussion—useful when you’re weighing competing arguments about current events, trying to make informed decisions as a citizen, and communicating clearly and persuasively in whatever career path you choose.

Program Requirements

The minor requires:

  • PHIL 101 or 205; and
  • A minimum of 15 credit hours above the 100-level in philosophy or religion.
  • At least two courses must be taken at the 300- or 400-level.
