The Office of Institutional Research fosters institutional improvement in the following ways:
- Understanding university progress
- Anticipating and meeting the decision-making needs of the administration by ensuring access to reliable, useful and quality data
- Conducting research and analysis of the characteristics and performance of the university
- Conducting research on innovation and strategic shifts in the operations and conduct of higher education institutions
SCHEV Profile
Prospective students may find the information resources of the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) useful in planning for college. SCHEV has created an institutional profile for each Virginia public college and university, and for each independent college or university participating in the Virginia Tuition Assistance Grant Program.
