Privacy and Consent
In accordance with the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), University Health and Wellness Services adheres to the strictest standards of patient privacy. We will never release any information to anyone, including your parents, guardians, spouse, faculty, staff, coach or other medical professionals, without your written consent.
If you need information or records released to Christopher Newport prior to your enrollment, please complete the consent to release medical information to University Health & Wellness form.
Note: UHWS maintains patient records for six years after a student graduates. After six years health records are destroyed.
