Travel
There are three airports near Newport News:
- Newport News - Williamsburg International Airport (PHF), 5 miles from CNU
- Norfolk International Airport (ORF), 25 miles from CNU
- Richmond International Airport (RIC), 68 miles from CNU
We expect to have two 15-passenger vans make two trips each to ORF and RIC to pick up conference participants, once in the afternoon and once in the evening. If you plan to fly into one of these airports and are not renting a car, please reach out to the local organizers.

We will have shuttles running throughout the day between the conference and the three hotels below. We have secured group rates at the Newport News Marriott at City Center and the Holiday Inn Newport News - Hampton.

Travel Support
We have applied for NSF funding to be used for travel support for graduate students and others without institutional funding. The grant proposal has not yet been approved, so we cannot guarantee any travel support. If you anticipate requesting travel support, please contact stdc.cnu.2025@gmail.com.
