Graduate Admission

Degree-seeking and non-degree-seeking applicants must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university by the time of enrollment with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale.

  • Each master's program requires certain minimum scores on a specific entrance exam (GRE, GMAT or PRAXIS/VCLA).
  • Each master's program requires recommendation forms from faculty and employers.
  • Each program has a specific application checklist of requirements for graduate admission.
  • International applicants have additional requirements and deadlines.
  • All documents submitted for admission remain the property of Christopher Newport University.

Applicants for the teaching licensure-only program should consult with the Office of Teacher Preparation regarding admission requirements.
