How to Apply

Applicants to the Noyce Scholarship Program must also apply for or have been accepted to CNU's Master of Arts in Teaching Program.

The application includes submission of the following:

  • A personal essay describing:
    • Why you are seeking admission to the Noyce Program
    • Why you wish to teach
    • Why you merit selection
    • Past experiences that are relevant to becoming a math or science teacher
    • Perspectives you will bring to the program, and how you will help be a leader of educational change
    • Your ability to engage in reflective practice
  • Unofficial transcript(s)

If you are unable to complete your degree and certification programs or meet your service requirement, you will be required to repay the amount of your Noyce support, plus any applicable interest. A signed promissory note is required, acknowledging the conditional nature of the award and stating a promise to repay the funds.
