Most Recent QEP

ResearchLENS/ORCA

The efforts grounded in CNU’s most recent QEP, titled ResearchLENS, resulted in the establishment of our Office of Research and Creative Activity (ORCA). The original name was Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity (OURCA).

The opportunities supported by ORCA have benefitted many students and faculty, along with the CNU and surrounding communities. You have likely heard of, participated in, or supported student participation in Paideia, Summer Scholars, Research Apprentice Program, Independent Research Grants, or the ResearchLENS travel fund. Most recently, ORCA houses the Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Certificate, the first of its kind in Virginia for undergraduate students. ORCA is just one example of what a successful QEP can do!

Examples of Other QEPs

SACSCOC provides links to summaries of approved QEPs from all of their member institutions, from 2007 to present. Many institutions also have websites devoted to their QEPs. For reference, CNU is a Track B institution, though QEPs from both tracks could be relevant.

Don't Miss Out

We will be asking you for feedback and providing updates throughout the QEP process. Broad participation and support from the campus community is essential for a successful QEP. Please engage as we further strengthen CNU’s commitment to student learning and success!
