Dr. Gerousis earned his PhD in Computer and Electric Engineering from Arizona State. He joined Christopher Newport University in the fall of 2003 semester. Prior to CNU, he taught Physics and Engineering courses at Grand Canyon University and graduate electrotherapy labs at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Phoenix campus. He also worked at Durel Corporation in electroluminescent panels research. His hobbies include jogging and gardening.
Teaching
Dr. Gerousis teaching interests include digital electronics, computer system design, engineering physics and math, and computer architecture.
Research
His research interests include nano circuits and architectures, as well as the use of the Raspberry Pi computer board for image processing with OpenCV and TensorFlow Lite, focusing on object detection and classification in IoT applications.
